Compared with the principal stress state of the three-way compressive stress, the metal wire drawing is easier to reach the plastic deformation state. The deformation state of drawing is the three-way main deformation state of bidirectional compression deformation and tensile deformation, which is unfavorable to the plasticity of metal materials and easier to produce and expose surface defects. The pass deformation of metal wire drawing process is limited by its safety factor. If the pass deformation is small, the drawing pass is more, so multi-pass continuous high-speed drawing is often used in the production of metal wire.
